Welcome to the official website for the CPL. Scott J. Procopio Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund was created as a direct result of the combat death of United States Marine Corporal Scott J. Procopio, of Saugus Massachusetts.

Scott was on his second deployment as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, having previously served in Fallujah in 2005. He was killed in action as a result of a roadside bomb on the morning of April 2, 2006 in Ramadi Iraq.

The purpose of the fund is to provide educational scholarships and assistance to deserving members of area schools, and to provide educational scholarships and opportunities to the children, siblings and spouses of members of the United States Armed Forces who have been killed in combat operations. We have been awarding annual scholarships to graduating local seniors in memory of CPL Procopio since 2006, with over $55,000 in scholarships awarded at local schools.
